MAY 2026
"What Were We Watching, Love?"
SYDNEY, NSW — MAY 2026 — It was the same conversation, night after night. "What were we watching last night, love?" And once that was settled, there was usually another question: "What shall we watch tonight?" For one Australian husband, the frustration finally became enough to do something about it. Rather than accepting that searching, remembering and choosing what to watch had simply become part of modern television, he began looking for an app that could make the experience easier. He tried existing solutions. What he found was that many could help with one part of the problem, but the everyday human experience was still there: too much choice, difficulty remembering what had been watched, and the constant question of which streaming service a programme was on. So he decided to build something himself. THE PROBLEM WASN'T TELEVISION. IT WAS THE EXPERIENCE. The more streaming services households accumulated, the more fragmented the viewing experience became. A programme could be watched on one service one night and another programme on a completely different service the next. Series could span weeks, making it surprisingly easy to forget where you had stopped. And then there was the biggest question of all: What do we actually want to watch tonight? Research into television viewing behaviour and choice fatigue reinforced something that had started in one living room: when people are presented with an overwhelming number of choices, finding something to watch can become a source of frustration rather than entertainment. SO WE BUILT THE APP AROUND THE VIEWER TV Butler Pro was developed to help people keep track of what they watch and make discovering something to watch less of a chore. The early development focused on three fundamental problems: REMEMBER IT. Keep track of programmes and episodes so viewers don't have to rely on memory. FIND IT. Know where a programme is available across the streaming services being used. CHOOSE IT. Reduce the overwhelming search for something to watch by creating a simpler way to discover programmes. But there was another discovery. People don't always know what they want to watch. Sometimes they know exactly what they want. Sometimes they simply know how they feel. That insight would lead to one of TV Butler Pro's next major developments — a viewing experience designed around mood rather than endless scrolling. FROM ONE LIVING ROOM TO A NEW WAY OF WATCHING What began as a very ordinary domestic frustration was becoming something considerably bigger. TV Butler Pro wasn't conceived as a way to tell people what they should watch. It was designed to help people remember what they have watched, find where to watch it and make the next choice easier. "I wasn't trying to reinvent television. I was trying to stop having the same conversation every night." — Founder, TV Butler Pro The development of TV Butler Pro would continue throughout 2026, adding new ways for viewers to personalise their experience, connect with other viewers and understand their own viewing behaviour. But everything began with one question. "What were we watching, love?" And a husband who finally decided there had to be a better answer. — END — ABOUT TV BUTLER PRO TV Butler Pro is an Australian entertainment technology company developing tools designed to make television easier to discover, track and enjoy. LATE MAY 2026
He Built an App to Remember What They Watched. Then He Realised People Wanted to Talk About It.
SYDNEY, NSW — LATE MAY 2026 — It started with a question asked from the sofa. "What were we watching, love?" But once TV Butler Pro began taking shape, another part of the television experience became impossible to ignore. People don't just watch television. They talk about it. They recommend it. They argue about it. They rate it. They tell their friends they absolutely have to watch it. And sometimes they want to know what everyone else thought before deciding whether to press play. SO TV BUTLER PRO GAVE VIEWERS SOMEWHERE TO TALK. The next development was a social layer built directly into the viewing experience. TV Butler Pro users could create their own profile, rate programmes, write reviews, add friends and take part in discussions around the shows they were watching. Instead of television being something that simply happened in front of the viewer, the app began connecting the people behind the viewing experience. YOUR VIEWING. YOUR OPINION. YOUR PEOPLE. The new social experience gives viewers the ability to: RATE SHOWS. Give programmes their own rating and see how other viewers scored them. WRITE REVIEWS. Share thoughts about shows and episodes with other people. ADD FRIENDS. Build a personal network around the programmes they enjoy. JOIN THE CONVERSATION. See what other viewers are saying and take part in discussions. DISCOVER THROUGH PEOPLE. Find programmes through the recommendations, opinions and reactions of other viewers. TELEVISION HAS ALWAYS BEEN SOCIAL. Long before streaming, television created conversations. Around the dinner table. At work the next morning. On the telephone. Between friends. TV Butler Pro's social experience was designed to bring some of that human interaction into the viewing journey itself. The idea was not simply to create another social network. It was to connect people through the television they already love watching. FROM TRACKING WHAT YOU WATCH TO SHARING WHY YOU WATCH IT. The development marked another step in the evolution of TV Butler Pro. What began as a personal solution to remembering programmes and finding something to watch was becoming a broader entertainment experience — one combining discovery, tracking and human connection. And there was still another question to answer. What happens when you don't know what you want to watch at all? That question would lead TV Butler Pro into its next stage of development. "Television has always brought people together. We just wanted to give them somewhere to continue the conversation." — Founder, TV Butler Pro — END — ABOUT TV BUTLER PRO TV Butler Pro is an Australian entertainment technology company developing tools designed to make television easier to discover, track and enjoy. JUNE 2026
We Have More to Watch Than Ever. So Why Are We Still Sitting There Saying “I Don’t Know”?
SYDNEY, NSW — JUNE 2026 — How many times have you sat down to watch something, opened Netflix, then another streaming service, scrolled through dozens of titles — and still had absolutely no idea what you wanted? TV Butler Pro discovered that having too much choice can become a problem of its own. So instead of throwing another huge catalogue at viewers, the app takes a different approach. It asks what mood you're in. Then it gives you three choices. Don't like them? Give me three more. The experience was designed around a simple idea: people don't necessarily need more things to watch. Sometimes they just need help deciding. TV Butler Pro also introduced personalised onboarding, allowing viewers to identify whether they're watching alone, with a friend, family or a group — and which streaming services they actually have. The result is a viewing experience built around the person, not the catalogue. A SIMPLER WAY TO FIND SOMETHING TO WATCH. TELL US YOUR MOOD. Choose how you're feeling and get picks that fit. GET THREE SUGGESTIONS. Carefully selected from the streaming services you use. WANT MORE? Don't like them? Get three more with one tap. BUILT AROUND REAL PEOPLE. During onboarding, viewers can set up who is watching — just me, with a friend, with family or a group — and select the streaming services they actually have. This helps TV Butler Pro make more relevant suggestions for every viewing situation. "We didn't need to give people more choices. We needed to make choosing easier." — Founder, TV Butler Pro TV Butler Pro continues to evolve, with new features designed to make it easier for people to discover, track and enjoy the entertainment they love. Because the best evenings start with less 'I don't know' — and more 'press play'. — END — ABOUT TV BUTLER PRO TV Butler Pro is an Australian entertainment technology company developing tools designed to make television easier to discover, track and enjoy.
